2017 Summer Program
June 5- 28, 2017 | Grades K – 12
Our Summer Program is designed for students entering grades kindergarten – 12 who struggle in school or those who need the benefit of getting an academic boost for the coming school year.
Since its beginning in 1966, Key School has taught reading, phonics, and math to thousands of students, enabling them to dramatically improve academic performance. Continuing this tradition of academic excellence, Key School assists students needing remediation, reinforcement, and enrichment. Middle and High School credit classes are also available and scheduled on an individual basis.
Unique to Key School, our reading classes are taught by Certified Academic Language Therapists. These literary education experts are specially trained to offer this intense and in-depth form of phonics-based intervention.
Tuition rates vary based on the courses selected. The class schedule and tuition costs are listed with each class description. To reserve class space, a $200 non-refundable deposit is required. Remaining balance is due on the first day of classes (June 5, 2017). Financial Aid is not available for the Summer Program.

Handwriting & Fine Motor Training
June 5 – 28, 2017
Time: 8:00 – 9:00 a.m.
Parent Meeting: May 20 at 12:00 p.m.
Developing fine motor skills assists students in learning to write legibly in cursive or print. This course is designed to enhance visual-motor integration and large motor skills by improving muscle control and eye-hand coordination.
Multi-sensory and specific directions for letter formation are included in the program and aid students who have difficulty recalling letter shapes or need help with muscle control in forming and connecting letters.
An intermediate program is also available for upper elementary and middle school students who need assistance with motor development and more advanced issues like board copy, dictation, motor speed, and practice page spacing.
